Abstract: Cleaning and disinfecting indoor surfaces has always been a common way to prevent the spread of the virus, especially after COVID-19, daily indoor decontamination is even more important. During this period, various kinds of disinfection robots were developed and manufactured. Due to the robots' ability to efficiently and accurately automatically carry out the arranged disinfection tasks, avoiding direct contact between humans and contaminated surfaces while saving manpower, they were quickly put into various kinds of public places to carry out disinfection tasks. However, the existing disinfection robot can not achieve an ideal disinfection effect for the scene with a lot of shadows and occlusions. To this end, this project designs a kind of ultraviolet disinfection robot, which is used to disinfect the local key areas . It is mainly composed of three parts: mobile platform, mechanical arm and ultraviolet tube. Its radar can be used for mapping, positioning and navigation, and the user can manually select the target point or save the commonly used target point so that the robot can arrive at the designated location for disinfection. In addition, the use of robotic arms enables the mobile robot to cover the surface of complex structures with ultraviolet light. The robot can be used in public places such as shopping malls, hospitals and offices to disinfect key areas such as desks and printers, as well as areas difficult to be covered by conventional disinfection robots.
